Three generations of Lake County families have rung in the New Year with us — every year since 1982.
Black-tie dinner. Open bar. Dancing past midnight. Photo booth. Champagne toast. The same room your parents may have rung in 1985 in. We’ve been throwing this party every December 31st for 44 years running, and it’s the longest-standing New Year’s Eve tradition in Lake County.

Maravela’s opened on Washington Street in Ingleside in 1982 with a simple promise: a beautiful place for families to celebrate, food worth celebrating over, at a price that made sense for a working community. Forty-four years later, the promise hasn’t changed.

Maravela’s hosts events from 50 to 400 guests across three private dining rooms. The full hall seats up to 400 for a seated reception; smaller rooms work for showers, rehearsals, and corporate gatherings of 50–150.
All-inclusive wedding and event packages are quote-only because every celebration is different. We share full pricing during a free, no-pressure hall tour — no hidden fees, no surprise charges, just one transparent price covering venue, food, service, and the standard package inclusions.
Yes. Every dish served at Maravela’s is prepared in our own kitchen on Washington Street in Ingleside. We never outsource catering to a third party — the people cooking for your event are the same family-trained kitchen team who have been doing it since 1982.
Yes. Bilingual English/Spanish service is available for quinceañeras, weddings, and any event where it helps families feel at home. Reach out and we’ll match you with a Spanish-speaking event coordinator.
Maravela’s is at 4 Washington Street, Ingleside, IL 60041 — in Lake County, about an hour northwest of downtown Chicago. Tours are by appointment Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM, and weekends by arrangement.
